Veterans

Stand Up for Veterans is an event in Glendale, Arizona, hosted annually to provide meaningful support and direct access to vital services for veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Held on the campus of Arizona Christian University, this collaborative effort brings together government agencies, nonprofit organizations, employers, legal professionals, and healthcare providers—all focused on addressing the real-world needs of those who have served. Attendees can receive assistance with employment, housing, legal matters, benefits navigation, and other key areas that impact quality of life.

Established under the leadership of Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers and supported by organizations such as VFW Post 1433 and other Veteran Service Organizations, Stand Up for Veterans is a coordinated community response to the challenges veterans face. Each year, the event also hosts a Vitalant blood drive, giving attendees an additional way to give back and support the community. This event connects individuals with essential services, but also to reaffirm that their service is valued, and their well-being remains a priority. It serves as a powerful demonstration that the local community stands ready to support those who have served our nation.

Veteran Service Org Registration

We encourage organizations and nonprofits that serve veterans, active-duty military, or their families to register as Veteran Service Organizations for our upcoming Stand Up event. This is an opportunity to connect directly with those in need, share your services, and be part of a collaborative effort.

Hiring Employer Registration

We invite employers, organizations, and businesses to register as hiring employers for our Stand Up event. Your participation not only supports those who have served but also strengthens our local workforce by investing in dedicated, skilled individuals ready to contribute.
