Induction
Ceremony

The annual Military Induction Ceremony at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, is a powerful community tradition that honors and celebrates the next generation of service members. Each year, more than 400 high school recruits from all branches of the military take their oath to join the United States Armed Forces in front of their families, peers, local leaders, and their community. Organized through the efforts of Mayor Jerry P. Weiers and the Mayor’s Military Mission Committee, this event is designed to recognize the courage and commitment of these young individuals as they begin their journey in military service.

This event serves as a message from the community that these recruits are supported, valued, and never alone in their service. Participants receive challenge coins, branch-specific stoles, and Certificates, presented by those who understand the path ahead. It serves as a meaningful connection between past, present, and future service members, highlighting Glendale’s deep respect and unwavering support for those who serve our country.
