MAYOR'S MILITARY MISSION

Mayor’s Military Mission (Triple M) is a volunteer committee based in Glendale, Arizona, founded with a deep commitment to honoring and supporting those who serve and have served in the United States Armed Forces. Since long before taking office, Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers has been a champion for the men and women of our military. That deep commitment led him to create Triple M, a grassroots effort that has grown into a powerful network of individuals, local businesses, and nonprofits, all working together to support veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. What started as a small group with a big heart has evolved into a community-wide movement. For Mayor Weiers, this is just the beginning of a long-term promise to make the West Valley a place where veterans feel seen, supported, and at home.

Triple M was born out of a simple idea: that we owe it to those who’ve worn the uniform to show up for them just as they’ve shown up for us

Triple M organizes and hosts impactful events throughout the year that both celebrate military service and connect individuals with critical resources. These include the annual Military Induction Ceremony, which recognizes and honors over 400 new military recruits as they take their oath of enlistment; Stand Up for Veterans, a resource fair offering employment opportunities, legal assistance, health services, housing support, and more; and the Veterans Day Celebration, which brings the community together to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who have served. In addition, Triple M plays a vital role in supporting projects like the Veterans Community Project in Glendale, helping to build housing for veterans.

Beyond event planning, Triple M operates year-round through subcommittees and active membership to fundraise, organize outreach efforts, and strengthen partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and civic groups. The committee also maintains both Individual and Community Partner memberships, encouraging participation from anyone—whether a veteran, a volunteer, a local leader, or an organization—who shares in the mission to uplift military families.

Through meaningful recognition, resource access, and community connection, Triple M continues to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who have worn the uniform. Every effort made by the committee is rooted in the belief that military service should never go unnoticed and that our city stands united behind those who defend our freedoms.
